Turkey Burger with Avocado 

Servings: 8 small patties (two per serving) | Total Time: 20 minutes 

Homemade turkey patty topped with sliced avocado, fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime

 

OWL Turkey Bone Broth and Turkey Burger Ingredients — Ground turkey, Avocado, Ghee, Lime, Cilantro, Ginger, and Cumin

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp freshly minced ginger
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 small avocados (or one large) 
  • 1 lime
  • Garnish: micro greens or cilantro leaves and 1 lime

Directions:

  1. To a medium sized bowl add the ground turkey, cilantro, cumin, ginger, sea salt and pepper. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Using your hands, form into eight evenly sized patties and set aside on a tray.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ghee. Once the ghee is melted, add 4 patties to the pan, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until they are cooked through. Then repeat with the remaining 4 patties. 
  4. Serve with sliced avocado, lime juice and cilantro.
